Salutations to You whose lotus feet are cool and refreshing like the water lily.
Salutations to You who delight in the music sung by the sage Narada.
Salutations to You who love the rooster emblem and the majestic peacock, as praised by the Vedas.

Salutations to You, the crown of glory and supreme valor.
Salutations to You, the very embodiment of the essence of the Agamas (sacred scriptures).
Salutations to You, the great commander of the armies of the gods, who grants the supreme path of liberation.

Salutations to You, who destroys sins and removes suffering.
Salutations to You, the fierce conqueror of the mighty demon Surapadman and other asuras.
Salutations to You, the victorious hero upon this earth.

Salutations to You, the beloved son of Goddess Parvati.
Salutations to You, the treasure-house of divine wisdom and eloquence.
Salutations to You, youthful Kumara, my Lord and Master. Bestow Your grace upon me.

O radiant One, the brother of the elephant-faced Lord Ganesha;
Beloved of Lord Shiva, whose matted locks are adorned with sacred ash;
O bridegroom of Devasena, daughter of the king of the celestial beings; O destroyer of the demon Sura!

O source of the wisdom taught by the great Vedas;
O One whose broad chest is adorned with fragrant garlands dripping with honey;
O Muruga, whose face shines with the fullness and cool brilliance of the full moon!

O Lord praised by sages, gods, Vishnu, and Brahma seated on the lotus;
O Supreme Leader who transcends all the seven worlds;
O wielder of the divine Vel (spear)!

O Lord whose glory surpasses even the heavenly worlds;
Whose sacred abode excels even the glorious city of the gods;
O Lord of the holy shrine of Siruvapuri, revered by the celestial beings, I bow before You.

This hymn is a series of reverential salutations to Lord Muruga, glorifying His beauty, wisdom, valor, compassion, divine lineage, victories over evil, and His supreme status as the protector and giver of grace.
