Born from the womb, I first lived as a child, then grew beautifully walking through the stages of life and became a youth.
With sweet baby talk and charming childish ways, I grew further and reached the age of sixteen.
Instead of remembering and praising the holy feet of those devotees who study the Vedas and attain spiritual wisdom, I have become lost in excessive desire for women and have wandered around suffering with many worries.
O Lord, please bless me and bring me to Your divine feet.
O great Lord Shiva, who wears the crescent moon, the Ganga, and the thumbai flower on His jeweled crown;
O mighty son of the Mountain Goddess, Muruga, who joyfully came and united with His Mother’s grace and form—
O brave warrior who rides gloriously upon the peacock, causing the earth to tremble with Your majestic steps during Your procession,
O Lord Muruga, who is praised as the one who attained the supreme abode and who joyfully resides upon the sacred Palani Hills,
Please accept me and grant me refuge at Your holy feet.
