O Lord Ganesha, adorned with brilliant gems and golden ornaments, whose majestic movement is compared to that of a powerful bird and a swift, fierce horse!
You are decorated with perfectly blossomed flower garlands. In your hand you hold the divine spear-like weapon that destroys mountain-like obstacles and shatters the strength of evil forces.
You possess the rooster emblem that resounds in every direction, small sacred feet that protect devotees, and twelve powerful shoulders filled with divine strength.
You have graciously enabled me to keep your holy form, sacred feet and mighty shoulders in my heart, and to sing the exalted Thiruppugazh hymns with love and devotion. I shall never forget this blessing.
You lovingly accept offerings of sugarcane, fine fruits, sugar, lentils, ghee, sesame puffed rice, beans and tender coconut water.
You also accept honey gathered by bees, pulses, many varieties of appam, raw rice, puttu, cucumber, different crushed food preparations, roots and tubers.
You delight in sweet rice dishes, chickpeas and many varieties of savoury offerings. You are the compassionate Lord who removes every obstacle and difficulty.
O wise, single-tusked Ganesha, born to Goddess Parvati, the daughter of the mountain, and blessed by Lord Shiva, the Supreme One with matted hair—may I always worship your sacred feet.
