Salutations again and again to You, O Lord Muruga,
You who are the source of Nāda (divine sound) and Bindu (the primal point of creation),
You who are the very form of the Vedic mantras,
You who are the wise and supreme Guru of knowledge — countless salutations.

Salutations to You, O beloved son of Shiva,
You who are the child of the enchanting Goddess,
You who ride the peacock adorned with serpent ornaments,
You who are the destroyer of mighty demons — salutations.

Salutations to You, O Lord who delights in divine cosmic dance,
Whose feet are adorned with the jingling anklets of music,
You who are the brave and valiant warrior,
You who are the Lord of the great mountain (Kailasa) — salutations.

Salutations to You, the radiant flame of auspicious light,
You who perform the pure divine dance in the sacred hall,
You who are the consort of Deivayanai (the celestial maiden),
O Lord, kindly shower Your grace upon me.

May I never forget:

the act of charity and giving,
the worship performed in many beautiful ways,
the recitation of scriptures,
the righteous path of good conduct,
and the service to the holy feet of the Guru.

O Lord of Vayalur,
You who rule the magnificent Chola land nourished by the river Kaveri,
whose fame spreads across the seven worlds,
You who are majestic and glorious.

You who once formed a close friendship with the saint Sundarar (Ārūrār),
and with those devotees who were connected to him,
You who mounted the fierce horse and journeyed to Mount Kailasa.

O Lord who resides at Avinankudi (Palani),
the sacred place in the Chera–Kongu region,
the place praised in ancient Tamil lands,
You who are worshipped and lived with by the gods themselves —
O Perumal (Muruga), bless me.
