மகன்தந்தைக் காற்றும் உதவி இவன்தந்தைஎன்நோற்றான் கொல்எனும் சொல்.

Maganthandaikk aatrrum udhavi ivan thandai En norraan kol enum sol.

The service a son renders his father is to make people say 'What penance did this father perform to deserve such a son?'

மகன் தந்தைக்கு செய்யும் உதவி என்னவென்றால், 'இவன் தந்தை என்ன தவம் செய்தான்?' என்று மக்கள் சொல்லும்படி வாழ்வதே.
💡 English Meaning
A son's greatness is the greatest gift to a father. When people see an excellent son and wonder what penance the father performed to deserve such a son — THAT is the son's service to the father. The son's excellence becomes proof of the father's spiritual merit. Greatness in children validates the parents' entire life.
