யாகாவா ராயினும் நாகாக்க காவாக்கால்சோகாப்பர் சொல்லிழுக்கு பட்டு.

Yaa kaavaa raayinum naa kaakka kaavaakkaal Sogaappaar sol izhukku pattu.
🌐 English Translation
Whatever else one may not guard, guard the tongue; if one fails to guard the tongue, one will suffer through speech-mistakes.

எதையும் காக்காவிட்டாலும் நாவை காக்க வேண்டும்; நாவை காக்காவிட்டால் சொல் தவறால் துன்படுவர்.
💡 English Meaning
The tongue is the single most important thing to restrain. Even if you fail at all other forms of restraint, succeed at this one. Speech errors (sol izhukku) cause more damage than almost any other failure — they create enemies, destroy reputations, and generate long-lasting harm.
