மனைமாட்சி இல்லாள்கண் இல்லாயின் வாழ்க்கை
ஏனைத்தும் வேண்டா படும்.

சிறைகாக்கும் காப்பெவன் செய்யும் மகளிர்

பெண்ணேவல் செய்தொழுகும் ஆண்மையின் நாணுத்தகை
ஒண்ணுதற் கோடா உயர்வு.
The manliness that acts subservient to women is shameful — greater is the elevation of the bright-browed (virtuous) woman.
