The renunciant understands BOTH worlds — this life and the next — and having understood both, chooses virtue in this life. This is not ignorant withdrawal but informed, enlightened choice. Their greatness 'shines' (pirangitru) — it cannot be hidden or contained, it illuminates the world naturally.
