“பெண்வழிச்சேறல்” அதிகாரம் இந்தத் தலைப்பை மையமாகக் கொண்டு பத்து குறள்கள் மூலம் அதன் பொருள், பயன்பாடு, வாழ்வியல் முக்கியத்துவம் ஆகியவற்றை விளக்குகிறது. பொருட்பாலில் வரும் இந்த அதிகாரம் சமூக வாழ்வு, அரசியல், தலைமை, நீதிநிலை, நட்பு, சொல், செயல் போன்ற நடைமுறை வாழ்க்கை நெறிகளை விளக்குகிறது. இந்த அதிகாரத்தின் தொடக்கக் குறள்கள் “மனைவிழைவார் மாண்பயன் எய்தார் வினைவிழையார்nவேண்டாப் பொருளும் அது.” போன்ற கருத்துகளால் தலைப்பின் பொருளை விரிவாக்குகின்றன.

மனைவிழைவார் மாண்பயன் எய்தார் வினைவிழையார்
வேண்டாப் பொருளும் அது.
One who forever acts out of fervor for his wife never attains anything worthy;nthis is the trait that those who focus on execution shun.

பேணாது பெண்விழைவான் ஆக்கம் பெரியதோர்
நாணாக நாணுத் தரும்.
Without preserving the good, driven by the desire for the woman-nthe wealth made thus is a greatly disconcerting disgrace.

இல்லாள்கண் தாழ்ந்த இயல்பின்மை எஞ்ஞான்றும்
நல்லாருள் நாணுத் தரும்.
Stooping to go against the grain by submitting to the wife’s will,nalways embarrasses good men.

மனையாளை அஞ்சும் மறுமையி லாளன்
வினையாண்மை வீறெய்த லின்று.
There is no salvation for one who fears his wife;nnever can he achieve fame nor mastery over execution.

இல்லாளை அஞ்சுவான் அஞ்சுமற் றெஞ்ஞான்றும்
நல்லார்க்கு நல்ல செயல்.
One who fears his wife will forever fearndoing good to the good folk.

அமையார்தோள் அஞ்சு பவர்.
One may live amongst the celestial beings but has no standing,nif he fears the drooping of the shapely shoulders of his wife.

பெண்ணேவல் செய்தொழுகும் ஆண்மையின் நாணுடைப்
பெண்ணே பெருமை உடைத்து.
The demure woman deserves more acclaimnthan the manliness that dances to the woman’s tune.

நட்டார் குறைமுடியார் நன்றாற்றார் நன்னுதலாள்
பெட் டாங்கு ஒழுகு பவர்.
One who caters to the whims of her, with elegant brows,nshall never do any good nor resolve any of his friends’ woes.

அறவினையும் ஆன்ற பொருளும் பிறவினையும்
பெண்ஏவல் செய்வார்கண் இல்.
Virtuous deeds, valuable possession and various pursuitsnare beyond those who do what the wife bids.

எண்சேர்ந்த நெஞ்சத் திடனுடையார்க்கு எஞ்ஞான்றும்
பெண்சேர்ந்தாம் பேதைமை இல்.
Cultured hearts with precious thoughts allow notnthe folly of appeasing their consorts.
