“அருளுடைமை” அதிகாரம் இந்தத் தலைப்பை மையமாகக் கொண்டு பத்து குறள்கள் மூலம் அதன் பொருள், பயன்பாடு, வாழ்வியல் முக்கியத்துவம் ஆகியவற்றை விளக்குகிறது. அறத்துப்பாலில் வரும் இந்த அதிகாரம் தனிமனித ஒழுக்கம், குடும்பநெறி, கருணை, மனத் தூய்மை போன்ற அறவாழ்வின் அடிப்படையை விளக்குகிறது. இந்த அதிகாரத்தின் தொடக்கக் குறள்கள் “அருட்செல்வம் செல்வத்துள் செல்வம் பொருட்செல்வம்nபூரியார் கண்ணும் உள.” போன்ற கருத்துகளால் தலைப்பின் பொருளை விரிவாக்குகின்றன.

அற்றார்மற் றாதல் அரிது.
Those who lack wealth may, one day, bloom; those who lack compassionnare incorrigible, and are forever, doomed.

தெருளாதான் மெய்ப்பொருள் கண்டற்றால் தேரின்
