“வினைசெயல்வகை” அதிகாரம் இந்தத் தலைப்பை மையமாகக் கொண்டு பத்து குறள்கள் மூலம் அதன் பொருள், பயன்பாடு, வாழ்வியல் முக்கியத்துவம் ஆகியவற்றை விளக்குகிறது. பொருட்பாலில் வரும் இந்த அதிகாரம் சமூக வாழ்வு, அரசியல், தலைமை, நீதிநிலை, நட்பு, சொல், செயல் போன்ற நடைமுறை வாழ்க்கை நெறிகளை விளக்குகிறது. இந்த அதிகாரத்தின் தொடக்கக் குறள்கள் “சூழ்ச்சி முடிவு துணிவெய்தல் அத்துணிவுnதாழ்ச்சியுள் தங்குதல் தீது.” போன்ற கருத்துகளால் தலைப்பின் பொருளை விரிவாக்குகின்றன.

சூழ்ச்சி முடிவு துணிவெய்தல் அத்துணிவு
தாழ்ச்சியுள் தங்குதல் தீது.
The end of strategizing is gaining the confidence to execute;nit is wasteful to cede that confidence in delays.

தூங்குக தூங்கிச் செயற்பால தூங்கற்க
தூங்காது செய்யும் வினை.
Delay those tasks that better be delayed; delay not,nthose tasks that cannot be delayed.

ஙல்லும்வா யெல்லாம் வினைநன்றே ஒல்லாக்கால்
செல்லும்வாய் நோக்கிச் செயல்.
Execute as planned whenever possible; when not possible,ndo whatever is needed to resume action.

வினைபகை என்றிரண்டின் எச்சம் நினையுங்கால்
தீயெச்சம் போலத் தெறும்.
The remnants of a task and an enmity, (left unfinished,)nwhen we think of it, can harm as much as the remains of a fire.

பொருள்கருவி காலம் வினையிடனொடு ஐந்தும்
இருள்தீர எண்ணிச் செயல்.
Resources, tools, time, place and the task –nanalyze these beyond doubt, and then act.

படுபயனும் பார்த்துச் செயல்.
The means to the end, the obstacles and the fruits of the deed –nanticipate all these, and then act.

One who is excellent at execution, executes afterngrasping the subtleties of all tasks from the experts.

More pressing than doing favors to friends,nis befriending foes.

கொள்வர் பெரியார்ப் பணிந்து.
The smaller state, fearing internal panic,nwill submit to a superior power, if their concerns are addressed.
