இனியவை கூறல் அதிகாரம் நாகரிகமான இனிய சொற்களின் மதிப்பை உணர்த்துகிறது. உண்மை, அன்பு, பயன் ஆகியவற்றுடன் சொல்லப்படும் இனிய சொல் மனித உறவுகளை வளர்க்கும்; கடினமான உண்மையையும் இனிமையாகச் சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதே இதன் கருத்து.

இன்சொலால் ஈரம் அளைஇப் படிறுஇலவாம்
செம்பொருள் கண்டார்வாய்ச் சொல்.

அகன்அமர்ந்து ஈதலின் நன்றே முகனமர்ந்து

துன்புறூஉம் துவ்வாமை இல்லாகும் யார்மாட்டும்

அணியல்ல மற்றுப் பிற.
