12 ஆழ்வார்கள் விஷ்ணுவை நோக்கி பக்தியில் உருகி பாடினர். நம்மாழ்வார் திருவாய்மொழி 1102 பாடல்கள். ஆண்டாள் ஒரே பெண் ஆழ்வார் — திருப்பாவை 30 பாடல்கள் மார்கழி மாதம் தினமும் பாடப்படுகின்றன. நாலாயிர திவ்யப் பிரபந்தம் 4000 பாடல்கள் 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களை பற்றியது.
The 12 Azhwars composed 4,000 devotional hymns (Nalayira Divya Prabandham) praising Vishnu at 108 sacred temples. Nammazhvar composed 1,102 verses. Andal, the only female Azhwar, wrote Thiruppavai (30 verses) sung every December-January morning. Several Azhwars came from lower castes, demonstrating that divine grace transcends social hierarchy.
